TRAI has taken a wise decision to block unwanted, unnecessary calls, sms to Mobile and Telephone Subscribers. A Telecom Subscriber can decide and register with Operators to recieve Commercial Communication either in Fully Blocked Mode or Partially Blocked Mode.
Fully Blocked Mode:
If anyone does not want any sort of Commercial Communication via SMS or Phone Call, then they can register in Fully Blocked Mode and they will not recieve any sort of Commercial Communication from any Vendor. If at all, the sms being sent to Registered User then TRAI will penalize the Bulk Sms Sender with heavy charges.
Partially Blocked Mode:
If anyone wants to recieve sms from a particular industry, for example, Bank sends the update and balance updates via Sms or Travel Agents sends update on Flight, Train PNR status, etc., then they can register under Partially Blocked Mode. 1. Banking/Insurance/Financial products/Credit cards:
If anyone registers with Preference 1 then all Banks, Insurance, Credit card companies can send in their proposals, updates, offers, etc., to the subscriber via sms or call.
2. Real Estate:
If anyone registers with Preference 2 then all Builders, Real Estate Agents can send their offers, proposals, etc to the subscriber via sms or call.
3. Education:
If anyone registers with Preference 3 then Educational Institutes can send their offers, proposals, etc to the subscriber via sms or call.
4. Health:
If anyone registers with Preference 4 then Health Organizations can send their offers, proposals, etc to the subscriber via sms or call.
5. Consumer goods and automobiles:
If anyone registers with Preference 5 then Consumer Goods and Automobiles Organizations can send their offers, proposals, etc to the subscriber via sms or call.
6. Communication/Broadcasting/Entertainment/IT:
If anyone registers with Preference 6 then Communication/Broadcasting/Entertainment/IT Organizations can send their offers, proposals, etc to the subscriber via sms or call.
7. Tourism and Leisure:
If anyone registers with Preference 7 then Tourism and Leisure Organizations can send their offers, proposals, etc to the subscriber via sms or call.
