# How do I temporarily pause a recurring campaign?

You can pause (disable) or resume (enable) any campaign without deleting it.

**To Pause a Campaign:**

1. Go to **Compose → Recurring SMS**
2. Find your campaign in the list
3. Look at the **Status** column (shows "Enabled")
4. Click the **"Disable"** button in the Actions column
5. Confirm when prompted
6. Status changes to "Disabled"

**What happens when paused:**

- No messages will be sent
- Campaign settings are preserved
- You can resume anytime

**To Resume a Campaign:**

1. Find the paused campaign (Status shows "Disabled")
2. Click the **"Enable"** button
3. Confirm when prompted
4. Status changes back to "Enabled"
5. Campaign resumes from the next scheduled trigger date

**Use Cases for Pausing:**

- ✅ Seasonal businesses during off-season
- ✅ Temporary budget constraints
- ✅ Testing or reviewing campaign performance
- ✅ Holiday periods when you don't want to send
- ✅ Updating contact groups before next execution

**Important:**

- Pausing does NOT delete any data
- Historical reports remain accessible
- Pausing is better than deleting if you plan to use the campaign later
