# What do RCS template statuses mean, and how do I manage templates?

## Template statuses

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Pending** | Submitted and awaiting approval. Not usable for live sends yet. |
| **Enabled** | Approved and ready. Only enabled templates should be used for sending. |
| **Rejected** | Not approved. Review the content against your bot's message type and the guidelines, then edit or create a new template. |
| **Paused** | Temporarily unavailable for sending. |
| **Disabled** | Switched off and not usable for sending. |
| **Deleted** | Removed. Deleted templates cannot be recovered. |

## Managing templates

Go to **RCS > RCS Templates** and select a bot to load its templates. You can search by name, ID or content (at least 3 characters), filter by status, sort by last updated, name or created date, and switch between grid and list views.

Actions on each template:

- **View / Info**: see the template's content, bot and type.
- **Test**: send the template to a phone number to see it on a real device.
- **Edit**: change the template.
- **Clone**: create a copy to use as a starting point for a similar template.
- **Copy Message Template in JSON**: copy the template structure, which is useful for developers.
- **Delete**: permanently remove the template.

## Sync templates

Click **Sync templates** and choose a bot to refresh template statuses from the RCS network. Do this if a template's approval status looks out of date.
