# What Domain Should I Point to SMSGatewayCenter?

When connecting your domain to **SMSGatewayCenter**, you have the flexibility to choose between your **primary domain** or a **subdomain**. Both options work seamlessly by setting up a CNAME record pointing to `unify.smsgateway.center`. Here’s how to decide which one to use:

#### Option 1: Primary Domain

- **Example:** `https://www.example.com`
- **What It Means:** Your main website URL will redirect to **SMSGatewayCenter**’s platform.
- **When to Use:** Ideal if you want your primary domain to serve as the access point for **[SMS services](https://www.smsgatewaycenter.com)**, replacing its usual content with our interface.
- **Setup:** Create a CNAME record with the host set to `@` or blank, pointing to `unify.smsgateway.center`.

#### Option 2: Subdomain

- **Example:** `https://sms.example.com`
- **What It Means:** A specific subdomain (e.g., `sms`) of your primary domain will link to **SMSGatewayCenter**, keeping your main site separate.
- **When to Use:** Perfect for maintaining your primary website while dedicating a branded subdomain for **SMS management**.
- **Setup:** Create a CNAME record with the host set to your chosen subdomain (e.g., `sms`), pointing to `unify.smsgateway.center`.

#### How to Set It Up:

Follow the steps in our guide on [**How to Point Your Domain to SMS Gateway Center**](https://www.smsgatewaycenter.com/blog/kb/how-can-i-point-my-domain-to-sms-gateway-center/) (or watch our [**CNAME video tutorial**](https://youtu.be/vLK1ZG9zq9Q)) to configure your DNS settings. Whether you pick a primary domain or subdomain, the process is the same—just adjust the host field accordingly.

#### Which Should You Choose?

- **Primary Domain:** Best if SMS Gateway Center is the sole focus of your domain.
- **Subdomain:** Recommended for most users to keep your main site intact while adding a professional SMS touch (e.g., `sms.yourbrand.com`).
