# What is Flow JSON?

**Flow JSON** is the technical definition of your flow (screens, layout, components, routing) in JSON format. Meta’s API expects this structure. SMSGatewayCenter’s builder **generates** Flow JSON when you save or when you use **Show JSON** / **Export Flow JSON**. You do not need to write JSON yourself unless you want to edit or import it manually.
