# What should I do if my API key isn’t working?

When making requests to the **[Restful API](https://www.smsgatewaycenter.com/developer-api/)**, ensure the following:

- Include the API key in the **request header** for **authentication** purposes.
- Use the “**userid**” parameter and the API key as login credentials while using the API.
- *No password parameter is required* when using an API key for authentication.

Nothing works, please contact our support team.
