Variables let one approved template carry different values for each recipient, such as a name, an OTP, an order number or an amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding variables to a template<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. In the template form, place your cursor where the value should go.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click + Add Var<\/strong> and pick a variable, for example [name]<\/code>, [otp]<\/code>, [orderid]<\/code>, [amount]<\/code>, [date]<\/code> or [tracking_id]<\/code>. You can also insert numbered custom fields such as [custom_param_1]<\/code>, [custom_param_2]<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Variables work in text messages, card titles, card descriptions, suggestion text, postbacks and URLs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Filling variables when sending<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    • Quick and Group send:<\/strong> after you select the template, the Send RCS screen shows one input per variable (Variable 1, Variable 2 and so on). Enter the values and check the live preview.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Custom file upload:<\/strong> for each variable, choose the column in your uploaded file that holds its value, so every recipient gets their own values.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • API:<\/strong> pass the values as customParams<\/code>. See Can I send RCS messages through the API?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
