This lets recipients tell at a glance whether a message is a promotion or an important alert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Suffix<\/th><th>Message type<\/th><th>Examples<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>-P<\/strong><\/td><td>Promotional<\/td><td>Offers, discounts, marketing campaigns<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>-S<\/strong><\/td><td>Service<\/td><td>Order and delivery updates, balance alerts, warranty and safety information<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>-T<\/strong><\/td><td>Transactional<\/td><td>OTPs and transaction confirmations sent right after a customer&#8217;s action<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>-G<\/strong><\/td><td>Government<\/td><td>Messages from Central or State Government bodies or their authorised agencies<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, a customer might see <strong>SGCSMS-S<\/strong> on a delivery update and <strong>SGCSMS-P<\/strong> on an offer from the same business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What this means for you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The suffix comes from your template&#8217;s category.<\/strong> Registering each template under the correct category is what shows customers the right suffix.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Use the right category for each message.<\/strong> A promotion registered as a service message risks complaints and action against your registration, and customers learn to trust &#8220;-S&#8221; and &#8220;-T&#8221; messages more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Keep sending with your registered header<\/strong> as usual.
