Meta reviews it, and <strong>Display Name Status<\/strong> shows where that review stands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meta&#8217;s rules for an acceptable display name:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It must relate clearly to your business and match your branding elsewhere, such as your website. Removing or adding words (&#8220;Fresh Produce Juices&#8221; when you brand yourself &#8220;Fresh Produce Cold Pressed Juices&#8221;) gets refused.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It must not be an individual&#8217;s full name, a generic word such as &#8220;Fashion&#8221;, a place name such as &#8220;Mumbai&#8221;, or a slogan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It must comply with WhatsApp&#8217;s Commerce and Business policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are messaging on behalf of another brand, show the relationship, for example &#8220;Fruit Snacks by Fresh Produce&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A test account must still be identifiable as yours, for example &#8220;Fresh Produce Test&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the name is rejected, fix it against the rules above and resubmit. Repeated rejections usually mean the name can&#8217;t be found anywhere on your public website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Business verification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Business Verification Status<\/strong> is about your company, not your name. You can start messaging customers before it completes, but you need it to scale business-initiated messaging. It is done in Meta Business Manager&#8217;s Security Centre, using your legal business details, and takes Meta some time to review. Get the legal name, address and phone number right first time, because they are hard to change afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The green badge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The verified badge next to a business name on WhatsApp (the &#8220;official business account&#8221; tick) is granted by Meta at its own discretion, based on how notable your brand is.
