SMSGatewayCenter offers six ways to send SMS from the dashboard, depending on whether you’re messaging one contact, a saved group, or a large uploaded list:
- Quick Send – Compose and send a message instantly to one or more numbers entered manually. Best for small, one-off sends where you don’t need a saved list.
- Group Send – Send to one or more pre-saved contact groups in a single campaign. Best for recurring audiences (e.g., “VIP Customers,” “Branch A Staff”) you’ve already organized.
- File Upload (Mobile Only) – Upload a file containing just mobile numbers, paired with one common message for everyone. Best for a single broadcast message to a large, ungrouped list.
- File Upload (Mobile Nos with Messages) – Upload a file where each row pairs a mobile number with its own message text. Best when different recipients need different message content in the same batch.
- Custom File Upload (Personalized SMS) – Upload a file with variable fields (name, order ID, amount, etc.) merged into a DLT-approved template. Best for personalized transactional messages at scale – e.g., “Hi {name}, your order {order_id} has shipped.”
- Configure SMS Settings for Campaigns – Not a send method itself, but the settings step (sender ID, route, DLT template linkage) that governs how any of the above methods actually deliver. Worth covering before choosing a method, since an unconfigured campaign fails regardless of which send method you pick.
Important distinction across all methods: Don’t use File Upload for individual numbers or small saved groups – use Quick Send or Group Send instead. File Upload is built for one-time large-list campaigns, not day-to-day small sends.
