What is “Update flow on Meta”?

If you edit the flow in the builder and Save, the copy on Meta is not updated automatically. Update flow on Meta uploads the latest Flow JSON to Meta (for the selected connection). Use it after you make changes and want Meta to have the new version. If the flow was already PUBLISHED, Meta may review the updated version again.
