Sandbox limitations #
- No brand or bot creation. The Add Brand and Create Bot buttons are replaced with “Sandbox: Deactivate to Add Brand” and “Sandbox: Deactivate to Create Bot”.
- No template creation or sync. You can only view and test the shared sandbox templates.
- Shared test bot only. All sandbox sends go through the platform’s shared sandbox bot, not your own sender identity.
- Registered test numbers only. Sandbox test messages are delivered only to mobile numbers registered for testing on the sandbox bot. If a test isn’t arriving, ask support (or your reseller) to check that your number is registered.
- No capability check uploads. Bulk RCS capability checks are not available on sandbox accounts.
Moving to a live (production) RCS account #
Before you switch, keep these ready:
- Your brand display name and legal business details.
- Brand assets such as your logo and official website.
- Your bot details: name, logo, banner, description, contact details, and links to your Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- Templates for the messages you plan to send.
- A wallet-funded account with enough balance for live traffic.
Then:
- Click Deactivate Sandbox? on the sandbox banner, or open the RCS setup page and click Deactivate Sandbox.
- Contact our sales or support team to complete onboarding for a normal RCS account.
- Create your brand, bot and templates as described in How do I get started with RCS messaging on my account?
