The SMS History feature allows you to view all your sent SMS messages, check delivery status, and track your messaging activity. This guide shows you how to access and use the SMS history feature on both iOS and Android.
Accessing SMS History #
Method 1: From Main Menu #
- Open SMSGatewayCenter app
- Tap menu icon (☰) or navigate to main menu
- Tap “History”, “Reports”, or “SMS History”
- History screen opens
Method 2: From Dashboard #
- From main dashboard/home screen
- Look for “View History” or “Reports” button
- Tap to open history
- Or tap “Recent Activity” section
Method 3: After Sending SMS #
- After sending an SMS
- Tap “View History” or “Check Status” button
- Or navigate to Reports section
- Find your recent message
Understanding the History Screen #
History List View #
What You’ll See:
- List of all sent SMS messages
- Most recent messages at top
- Each entry shows:
- Recipient number
- Message preview
- Sent date and time
- Delivery status
- Message cost (if available)
Status Indicators #
Color Coding (varies by app version):
- 🟢 Green: Delivered
- 🔵 Blue: Sent (pending delivery)
- 🟡 Yellow: Pending
- 🔴 Red: Failed
Status Types:
- Pending: Message queued, not yet sent
- Sent: Message sent to gateway, waiting for delivery
- Delivered: Message delivered to recipient
- Failed: Message could not be delivered
- Expired: Delivery attempt expired
Viewing Message Details #
Tap on Message #
- Tap any message in history list
- Detail screen opens showing:
- Full message content
- Recipient number
- Sent date and time
- Delivered date and time (if delivered)
- Delivery status
- Error message (if failed)
- Message ID/Reference number
Detailed Information #
Message Details Include:
- Message Text: Full content of SMS
- Recipient: Phone number (formatted)
- Sent Time: When message was sent
- Delivered Time: When message reached recipient
- Delivery Duration: Time taken for delivery
- Status: Current delivery status
- Cost: SMS cost (if available)
- Sender ID: Sender ID used (if applicable)
Filtering and Searching #
Filter by Status #
- Tap Filter Icon or “Filter” button
- Select Status:
- All Messages
- Delivered
- Failed
- Pending
- Sent
- View Filtered Results:
- List updates to show only selected status
- Clear filter to see all messages
Filter by Date #
- Tap Date Filter:
- Select date range
- Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month
- Or custom date range
- View Filtered Results:
- Messages within selected date range
- Useful for finding specific messages
Search Messages #
- Tap Search Icon or search bar
- Enter Search Term:
- Recipient number
- Message content
- Date
- View Results:
- Matching messages appear
- Clear search to see all
Sorting Messages #
Sort Options #
Common Sort Options:
- Newest First (default): Most recent at top
- Oldest First: Oldest messages at top
- By Status: Grouped by delivery status
- By Recipient: Grouped by phone number

- Select sort option
- List updates with new order

Delivery Timeline #
Typical Timeline:
- Pending (0-30 seconds): Message queued
- Sent (30 seconds – 2 minutes): Sent to carrier
- Delivered (2-5 minutes): Reached recipient

- Restart App:
