- Prepare the file: confirm format/size, plan a descriptive identifier, and ensure you have an active WABA connection.
- Open WhatsApp → Media Library → Add.
- Select the correct WABA number (if more than one).
- Fill in Identifier and Description with meaningful content.
- Choose the Media Type (image, document, audio, video, etc.).
- Upload the file. The system validates size/type before calling the WhatsApp media endpoint.
- Click Save Changes; wait for the progress indicator. On success you’re redirected to Manage with a confirmation.
- If an error appears (“Select media type”, “Description cannot be blank”, mismatched WABA, API failure), correct the issue and try again.
- After upload, the asset is searchable in the Manage table. Always double-check the entry before referencing the media ID in templates or automations.
