Templates save message text, media and button markup so your team doesn’t retype the same content. Unlike SMS, Telegram templates need no external approval: you create them and they’re ready.
Creating one #
- Open Telegram Templates and click Add Template.
- Template Name — a short, recognisable label such as “Fee Reminder” or “Order Shipped”. Up to 100 characters.
- Status — Active makes it available on Send Telegram; Inactive hides it from the picker.
- Message Body — the text inserted when the template is chosen. Required, up to 4,096 characters.
- Media URL (optional) — a public https link to a photo, video or document that Telegram’s servers can reach.
- Buttons JSON (optional) — Telegram reply-markup JSON. If you’d rather not write JSON, build the buttons visually on Send Telegram instead.
- Click Save Template. Active templates appear immediately.
Using one #
On Send Telegram, pick the template from the Template dropdown and it pre-fills the body, media and buttons. You can still edit the text before sending, which is useful for a personal touch on a follow-up.
Managing the list #
The template list shows name, a preview of the message, status and creation date, with Edit, Delete and Refresh actions.
Retiring a template: set it to Inactive rather than deleting it. Deleting removes it for good, and keeping it preserves the link with past sends.
Tips #
- Name templates after the moment they’re used, not their content, so the right one is easy to find.
- Keep media on a stable public URL. If the file moves, every template using it breaks.
