Save fails when any target template variable in WhatsApp, RCS, or later channels is not mapped. Each row needs either a source variable from the first channel or static text with a non-empty value.
How to fix #
- Scroll to the Variable mapping section.
- Review every row for each target channel in your sequence.
- For each placeholder, choose From source variable and pick the matching source field, or choose Static text and type the fixed value.
- Click Save again.
If mapping section is hidden #
Mapping is not required when templates have no variables, or only the source template has variables with no targets. If you expect mapping but do not see it, confirm later channels have templates with placeholders selected.
After template or sequence changes #
Reordering channels or swapping templates can change which variables exist. Always review mapping before saving edits.
