After you select channels with checkboxes, they appear in the Fallback sequence (flow) area. Drag and drop the steps to reorder. The top step is tried first; the bottom step is the last attempt.
Rules #
- Order matters: SMS → WhatsApp → RCS is different from WhatsApp → SMS.
- Each channel can appear only once in a flow.
- The first channel is the source template for variable mapping.
- The last channel has no “next step”—trigger error codes are not shown for it.
Choosing the right order #
- SMS first: Best when SMS is cheapest or fastest for your audience.
- WhatsApp first: When most users are WhatsApp-active and templates are approved.
- RCS last: Often used as a final rich-message attempt after SMS and WhatsApp.
