⚠️ Warning: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone!
Before You Delete, Consider:
✅ Pausing Instead:
- Campaigns can be disabled/paused
- All settings preserved
- Can be resumed anytime
- Recommended for seasonal campaigns
✅ Historical Data:
- Execution reports are preserved even after deletion
- Can still view past performance
- But cannot restart the campaign
How to Delete:
- Go to Compose SMS → Recurring SMS
- Find the campaign to delete
- Click the “Delete” button (trash icon)
- Read the confirmation dialog carefully
- Type confirmation if required
- Click “Confirm Delete”
- Campaign is removed from list
What Gets Deleted:
❌ Campaign configuration
❌ Scheduled future executions
❌ Association with groups (groups themselves remain)
What’s Preserved:
✅ Historical execution reports
✅ Transaction IDs
✅ Credit usage history
✅ Contact groups (not affected)
When to Delete:
✅ Campaign is no longer needed
- One-time promotional period ended
- Business model changed
- Replacing with completely different campaign
✅ Test campaigns
- Created for testing purposes
- No longer useful
✅ Duplicate campaigns
- Created by mistake
- Redundant with another campaign
When NOT to Delete:
❌ Seasonal campaigns – Pause instead
❌ Temporary budget constraints – Pause instead
❌ Minor changes needed – Edit instead
❌ Want to preserve exact settings – Pause instead
Alternative: Archive Strategy
Instead of deleting:
- Pause the campaign
- Update name: “[ARCHIVED] Original Name”
- Add note in description: “Archived on [date] – Reason”
- Keeps all settings for future reference
Bulk Delete:
Currently, you must delete campaigns one at a time. This prevents accidental mass deletion.
Recovery:
❌ Once deleted, campaigns cannot be recovered
❌ You’ll need to recreate from scratch
❌ Support cannot restore deleted campaigns
Best Practice:
Take screenshots of settings before deleting, especially if you might want to recreate a similar campaign later.
