What is an RCS Sandbox Account and how do I use it?

An RCS Sandbox Account lets you explore RCS before you register your own brand and bot. It uses a shared test bot and ready-made test templates, so you can see how sending, templates and delivery reports work on the platform.

How to enable the sandbox #

1. Open the RCS menu and go to the RCS setup page (Add RCS).
2. Click Enable RCS Sandbox.
3. When you see the confirmation, click Read Documentation or Send RCS Now.

While the sandbox is active, RCS pages show a banner saying you are operating within an RCS Sandbox Account.

What you can do in the sandbox #

• View the shared templates made available for testing, under RCS Templates.
• Send test RCS messages with the shared sandbox bot, from Send RCS or with the Test action on a template.
• Review delivery reports and summaries for your test sends.

If no sandbox templates appear, ask your account manager to make templates available on the sandbox bot.
