Before you start, make sure you have at least one verified brand under My RCS Brands.
- Go to RCS > RCS Bots and click Create Bot.
- Basic info:
- Region: India or Rest of World.
- Bot Message Type: Promotional, OTP, Transactional or Multi-Use.
- Bot Billing Category: Conversational or Non-Conversational.
- Bot Name: shown at the top of the message thread (maximum 18 characters).
- Brand Name: pick the brand this bot belongs to.
- Image configuration: upload the Bot Logo (72×72 px or 256×256 px) and the Banner Image (488×164 px or 656×98 px). Larger images can be cropped with the built-in resize tool.
- Description and appearance: add a Short Description (up to 100 characters, shown in the bot’s details) and choose the bot’s Color. The colour needs a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 so text stays readable.
- Contact information (optional): add phone numbers, email IDs and websites, each with a label of up to 20 characters (for example “Support” or “Visit us”).
- Legal and API: enter your Terms of Use URL and Privacy Policy URL, choose the RCS API (GSMA API or Google RBM API) and list the Languages Supported (for example English, Hindi).
- For bots in the India region, tick “I agree to launch the bot on all Indian carriers”. Your consent is required to proceed.
- Click Next, complete Carrier Selection, then click Submit.
Use the live preview on the right (iPhone X, Pixel or Galaxy S8) to see how your bot’s profile, Info and Options screens will look to recipients.
After you submit, the bot shows Internal approval pending until it is approved. Bot registration involves carrier review, so allow some time before the bot can be used for sending.
Note: bots cannot be created while an RCS Sandbox Account is active.
