✅ Frequency (interval and unit)
✅ Recipients (batch numbers or groups)
✅ Sender ID
✅ DLT Template ID
✅ Message type (Text/Unicode)
✅ Start date, end date, time
✅ All optional settings (Flash, Link tracking, etc.)
What Cannot Be Edited:
❌ Historical execution reports
❌ Already sent messages
❌ Past trigger dates
How to Edit:
- Go to Compose SMS → Recurring SMS
- Find your campaign
- Click the “Edit” button (pencil icon)
- Modify any fields needed
- Click “Update Recurring SMS”
- Changes apply to all future executions
Important Notes:
⚠️ Changes apply immediately:
- Next execution uses new settings
- Already scheduled executions use new settings
- Past executions remain unchanged in reports
⚠️ Frequency changes recalculate trigger:
- If you change from “Weekly” to “Monthly”
- System recalculates next trigger date
- Based on last execution + new frequency
⚠️ Recipient changes:
- Adding groups: New contacts receive messages
- Removing groups: Those contacts excluded
- Changes effective from next execution
Best Practices:
1. Test Before Changing Recipients:
- If unsure, create a duplicate campaign
- Test with small group first
- Then update main campaign
2. Update Message Carefully:
- Review character count
- Check personalization placeholders
- Verify DLT compliance
3. Consider Creating New Campaign:
- If changes are major
- Keeps historical reports separate
- Easier to compare performance
4. Document Changes:
- Update campaign description
- Note why changes were made
- Helps future reference
Example Scenarios:
Scenario 1: Seasonal Message Update
- Original: “Winter sale ends soon!”
- Updated: “Summer collection now available!”
- Edit message content only
Scenario 2: Frequency Adjustment
- Original: Every 1 Week
- Business grows, want more frequency
- Updated: Every 3 Days
Scenario 3: Expanding Audience
- Original: Group A only
- Add Group B and Group C
- Check recipient count doesn’t exceed budget
