Telegram messaging connects a Telegram bot to your SMS Gateway Center account, so you can send messages to customers on Telegram, read their replies and track delivery from the same panel you use for SMS. You don’t need to build or host anything yourself.
What you can do #
- Send rich messages: text, photos, audio, documents, video, GIFs, voice notes, video notes, locations, contact cards and polls, with optional buttons.
- Receive replies into your Telegram Inbox, and answer them from the panel.
- Reuse content with saved templates.
- Track results with a per-message Delivery Report, daily Message Summary and an Analytics page.
- Share the workload with agent logins, when agents are enabled on your account.
- Integrate your own systems through the Telegram REST APIs, when API access is enabled.
How it works #
- You create a bot in Telegram with @BotFather. That bot is the identity customers chat with.
- You connect the bot to your account and register a webhook, so Telegram delivers incoming messages to your Inbox.
- You send messages from the panel or the API; we handle delivery, logging and reporting.
The one rule to know first #
Telegram only lets a business message people who have started a chat with the bot themselves. There is no way to message a Telegram user who has never contacted your bot, so growing your subscriber list is the first job (see How do customers subscribe to my Telegram bot?).
Who uses it #
Marketing teams for opted-in campaigns, support teams for two-way chat, and operations teams for order, payment and appointment updates.
